Prodotto solamente in Sicilia visto che è difficile trovare delle piantagioni di limoni abbastanza estese tali da permettere la produzione di un vero miele limone. 
Per caratteristiche risulta essere abbastanza simile a quello di arancio dal quale differisce per una nota più acidula. 
Per queste sue peculiarità, oltre che in abbinamento con formaggi come mozzarella, scamorza e caciocavallo, è ottimo anche come dolcificante per tisane e drinks freddi.

Produced only in Sicily because it is difficult to find plantations of lemons quite extensive enough to allow the production of a real lemon honey.
For characteristics it appears to be quite similar to that of orange from which it differs for a more acidulous note.
For these peculiarities, as well as in combination with cheeses such as mozzarella, scamorza and caciocavallo, it is also excellent as a sweetener for teas and cold drinks.
